Vermont State Rep Monique Priestley here! Civic engagement and education are passions of mine. We so often witness media highlights of controversial political issues, but we don’t often talk at a basic level about how things are accomplished or why it matters. Over the course of my first term as a Vermont State Representative, I dove head first into the hardest, most complex battles I could find. And with each one, I realized that I can’t operate alone. I quickly searched out and surrounded myself with experts who helped craft policy. The pieces we were missing were all of the individual voices of Vermonters to come and testify. From now on, everything I work on will engage Vermonters on the ground who want to help. That’s why I created this website as a starting point. I hope you’ll join us!
